Horseback Riding On The Pacific Ocean ---- 2 1/2 hrs. / $45.00

Walking on the beach is fun, but taking a horseb ack ride along the surf is even more enjoyable! Feel the breeze in your hair, smell the salty surf and appreciate a truly unique experience, during an escorted ride through dunes and along the Pacific Ocean in the company of expert wranglers.

Riders are asked to wear tennis shoes or boots. Open-toed shoes are not permitted and warm jackets and clothing are suggested.

Restrooms are not available during the ride. Available Memorial Day through the 2nd weekend in September.

 

Peninsula Museums Approximately 4 hours / $75 - Box Lunch Included

Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum

Enjoy the early history of the region, including Chinook tribal history, logging, fishing and local community history as well as relics of the Clamshell Railroad, the only railroad that ran by the tides.

Cranberry Museum

It all begins in a bog. Find out how cranberries are grown ahnd harvested. See how the process has changed during more than a century of development. Taste cranberry foods and see all the different ways cranberries are used.

World Kite Museum

Enjoy the ever-changing array of some of this unique museum's 1500+ collection of kites, from the rare to the fanciful.

Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center

Visit the western end of the trail for the Corps of Discovery. Trace their entire 400+ mile journey whild enjoying panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.

Charter Boat Tour Lower Columbia River---2 1/2 hours / $75

See the sights and hear the sounds on the Columbia River Estuary just as native tribes and Lewis and Clark and the Corps did - by water! The fleet of 8 excursion boats, with furnished bathrooms, allow us to journey along the river with fully trained Pacific Northwest Living historian guides, anxious to share their knowledge of the area's past and present with you.

Embarkation will be at 30 minutes prior to the tour at the Coho Charter Office, located at the east end of the Ilwaco mooring basin.

Comfortable shoes and appropriate weather specific clothing recommended.

Available April through October.

The Mud Stick Tour "Sentinels Standing in Silent Witness" Approximately 3 hours / $45.00

Learn the history of the centuries - old wooden remains of piers, canneries, docks, fish traps, jetty railroads and other wooden structures which are represented by thousands of poles jutting out of the water and sands of the Columbia River

A scenic and educational bus tour will take us on a tour of the areas along the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean to find out what evolved after the arrival of the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805-06 and the subsequent arrival of more explorers and settlers to the area.

Tour will offer opportunities to disembark and proceed, rain or shine. Please fress accordingly.
